Isle Royale National Park has around 165 miles of trails. The most popular trail is Greenstone Ridge Trail, running 40 miles along the ridge in the center of the island. The are also some short loop trails, like Windigo Nature Trail, near the visitor centers for one-day visitors.
There are 36 designated campgrounds around the island and one hotel called Rock Harbor Lodge. Rock Harbor Lodge is near Rock Harbor Visitor Center on the northeast end of the island. It has 60 rooms and 20 separate cabins.
There are many rules made for campers keeping them from impacting the environment of Isle Royale negatively. For example, it is unacceptable to feed wildlife because it disrupts the food chain and will lead them to stealing food from campers.
